How does it work?

We provide you with a quote which will compose of two elements, the recurring labour cost and the charge to cover administration, insurance and eco cleaning consumables.

If you accept the quote, we will ask you to pay the deposit. The deposit will cover your initial supply of cleaning products, cloths and consumables.

We will then allocate your cleaner and arrange a start date with you.

On the start date, we will arrive 15 minutes early to complete a site/home check and issue you with your first 3 months cleaning pack. Your cleaner then will complete the first session.

What do I need to provide?

Domestic clients need to provide a mopping system/floor cleaning solution and a vacuum cleaner suitable for your floor type(s). We supply cloths and fluids. For domestic clients, your cleaner will put any used cloths into your washing machine on leaving, ready for you to turn on when you return home. If your washing machine is full, they will leave them in front of the machine for you. Commercial clients will have details specified in their quote.

Do I have to use your cleaning products?

Yes, your cleaner is only trained and insured to use our approved products. Cleaning fluids are high end, ecological, and biodegradable, Little Cottage Cleaning Company products. If your cleaner users anything else, then the insurance will be void. We supply general cleaning fluids, cloths and brushes.

Are your cleaners trained and checked?

Yes, all our cleaners undergo our training modules before they are allowed to start work. We reference all cleaners and some also carry DBS certificates.

What if I am not happy with my cleaner?

If you are not satisfied with your cleaner then please contact us, if we cannot resolve the issue for you then we can change your cleaner. PLEASE REMEMBER – it can often take some time to get a property up to standard for new clients. If you have not paid for an initial deep clean, your cleaner will need to do this week by week.

Can you hold keys?

We always recommend keys are held in a key box and the code supplied to us for access. This means the keys are always available if your cleaner is off ill/on holiday and we provide a replacement. You can ask your cleaner to hold keys if you wish, but this agreement would need to be a private agreement between you and the cleaner. For domestic clients, we can supply and fit a key box at the time of your home visit if required. The cost is £49 plus VAT and must be booked prior to your home visit taking place.

How do I pay? Am I tied to a contract?

Domestic customers are charged by card. When you join us, you need to register your card with us and your payments are automatically deducted after each visit for labour, and monthly for your other charges.

We work on the basis of a rolling 30 day notice period. You are free to leave at anytime and can cancel any individual sessions providing you give at least 24 hours notice or a £20 cancellation fee will apply.

Do you do window cleaning?

No, your cleaner is not insured to carry out any external cleaning.

Do you offer ironing and laundry?

Whilst many of our cleaners can do laundry and ironing, we offer a separate service for this. Please ask for details.
